New spin on a Great lil'pack rifle

Tony, how is the return to zero with this? I have an AR7 in the basement I keep forgetting about, need to drag that out, clean it twice and give her a whirl.

not Sure Park,
have yet to search reviews on it ? I do not own one yet but I will try for one this year no matter the review outcome.......
nly thing I have heard is to recheck barrel nut after a few shots fired & seems pretty accurate out to 30-40yds beyond that info not sure

Thats a great package size and function wise, I have been considering the Keltec su 16c for a nice backpack rifle

Good find TTD! My complaint with the old version was the super wide stock. Maybe I’ll see one at the gun show this weekend. Really for a survival rifle, the .22 is hard to beat IMO. And at at street price of around $200, you wouldn’t feel too bad about sticking one in a pack.

They probably don’t last long in TX. :D

I’d love to see the TTD pimped out AR-7. Crammed with everything but the kitchen sink. :D

I just bought my daughter on of those for her 12th birthday. Nice little rifle.

I had one but never found it to be something I'd want to trust. It would jam quite often. I use my Browning 22LR. it breaks down to a smaller package too.

They are notoriously unreliable I am afraid. My dad bought one way back when and it was essentially a single shot it failed so often...and I hear they are no better today. He replaced it with an M1 Carbine.

Cool idea that they could not execute.

wow, i had no idea what i was looking at the first time i glanced at this post. So the entire thing packs into the stock? it's a great concept. i'm sad to hear that they aren't too reliable. anyone else have better experience?

my dad has one of the older ar-7s and I have used it quite a lot and dont recall ever having to deal with jams or anything, fairly accurate overall. I liked his enough that it is on my listof hopefuls, hopefully sooner than later.

I have a Remington 510 targetmaster I paid 90 dollars for, made in 1926, that shoots one hole groups at 100 yards all day long. It weighs maybe 2 pounds and breaks down with the run of a penny screw. I ain't droppin money on some fancy dancy 'survival rifle' when mine shoots like an Anschuts and packs like a pistol.

I think a lot of guys miss the point of this rifle.

Comparing this gun to an Anschutz or the like is apples and oranges.

It's goal is stowability, accurate enough to take small game at survival ranges, it weighs 2.5 lbs! Would this be the choice for a precision .22? No. Is it's 100% reliability critical? Not really.

Curious what the street price will run, I do admit I like the updated features. It's no 10/22, but it does look like a fun toy with some history and potential to it. Don't need it, but it may be one for the coin jar.
