I just picked up a new caly 3 a few days ago when I noticed the spyder bug was a little darker then usual.When I looked closer I realized that the bug was slightly recessed into the blade and then coated in a mystery black finish,paint,dlc,or whatever.I like this much better then the laser engraving because it will be much more durable.
As far as I know it's the only spydies coming out of seki city japan.
I hope spyderco will change all product to this new format love it.:thumbup:
