I get funny looks when I tell some of my friends I paid over $50 for a knife. I just look at them and say "Yes, I am a total idiot. You have a problem with that?" As I am showing them my new knife. 
STR - Actually, I agree with you on the general look of the knife. I don't really like the look that much. This is a knife that needs to be picked up and held. Check out all the grips you can think of with this knife. Then you will start to see how function was the idea behind this design.

I never took to the Bump. Too large and round for my hand. That's why I think I will like this more. In addition, you can choke up on this model, get more tip controll.
