New Spyderco Lum Tanto fixed Blade grind?

I found my old one for a quick photo:

Ever since the original LUm Tanto fixed blade which was made in AUS-8 I've wanted to see just how well that Lum Fixed Blade would perform with a premium blade steel. I'm just really thankful that I will get my opportunity to try it out first hand. To have that superb fixed blade design of Bob Lum's in VG-10 is truly awesome.

I've been waiting for this to happen for years. Like I have said in several previous posts I never really ever liked Tanto designs until I got a couple of Bob Lum's Spyderco blades. I still carry my C-46 Tanto folder on occasion and love it.

I have a feeling that Bob LUm's designs will live on for many years to come.

We just approved of a production sample. Should be coming along soon. Beautiful piece.

Dang, I just ordered a Street beat as it was love at first sight-a must have knife! I have the Lum folder w/ grey G10 and Benchmade's Lum, but this fixed blade is crazy. I really liked the first but was kinda bummed about the AUS8 (probably shouldn't but was) and now its VG10, I adore that steel and they always come razor sharp from Japan.Spyderco has impressed me more than any other knife company with both design and quality. Its nice to also have an owner who is a class act it a world of...well I won't say.
