I'm looking for a new Spyderco in ZDP-189. What is you opionion of the Stretch II and Caly? Have I missed any?

Thanks,

Oh Yea!! Don't forget the ones that started it all. I favor the Endura.

Thanks,

I've got it narrowed down to the Stretch II or CalyCF. Any impressions on these?

I would personally prefer the Stretch simply for it's blade shape...it has a longer cutting edge length, with a flatter run before it sweeps up to the tip. I find this shape to be an advantage for any slicing or food preparation tasks. The tip on the Stretch is a little more work oriented and robust, and for me, the overall blade shape in general is more practical if you find yourself doing any kind of bush craft. The Stretch has a bit longer handle, which can be nice if you happen to have largish hands and you intend to really work with the knife.

Actually, so much depends on what you intend to use the knife for.

tough choice, i have both. go for the caly if you want something smaller. other wise, you cant go wrong with either. i think i prefer the caly due to its size.

the caly is a great knife! I think you get best ergonomics with one of the best blade steels by far!

I dont have a caly but I have a stretch II and I love it! Would recommend it to anyone.
