Just went to the Saxet(Texas spelled backwards) gun show and picked up a Mini Manix in plain edge for $110 from a guy i know there turns out these are discontinued models so i feel even better about my purchase now, and also i picked up a Byrd Crossbill, also a very nice knife. Looking at the Manix i see that is shares alot of lines in common with the Native the blade has quite the same shape and the choils and lock are very close(lock being the same, though no boye dent in the lock), im a fan of S30V and G10 so im happy there and the full flat grind is something i dont have in any of my knives and is RAZOR SHARP!!!! as with all spydie's this is true even the Byrd is razor cutting para cord is no problem for either of them.

I have always considered the Native to be the "mini-mini-Manix." I own both sizes of Manix and a Native, and I have compared them to each other several times while browsing through my collection.

yep i agree with you i was looking at my dads native and saw the simliarites the manix has a full FLAT grind and the native has a hollow grind but other than that ther are similar.

Congrats on your new Manix. I love mine. It's a very tough knife.

Hope you enjoy yours as much as I do.
