Prices would be a LOT higher! Talonite costs over 100 dollars per pound:eek: Just ask Tom Mayo!

I talked to Tom yesterday by phone. He said they raised the price of Talonite to $200/lb. He's switching to stellite 6k. It's very close to Talonite in properties and some feel that it takes a finer edge than Talonite.

Kit Carson prefers Stellite, and I think Greg Lightfoot uses it as well. It is nice to have one of Tom's Talonite pieces, though. Good stuff, great guy.
 
In case you were wondering, I received confirmation from CRK that the 2002 woodies would have the S30V steel in them.
