I am always buying a new stone, it's a much greater disease than my knife buying and like our knives they need to be shown off. So let's see all the awesome stuff that keeps our blades sharp.

Most recently I received a 800 Chosera and 8000 Naniwa Snow White.

Well,
this is some of my naturals:

Iyoto medium (some around the 1000, the big one is around the 2K-3K)

Nakayama polishing stones, (6K and north)

several naguras, including tsushima

Belgian cucible, natural!

Some coarse and medium stones - suitable for katana polishing, most for the binsui do stage (2nd)

2 of my "high end" polishing stones, ozuko asagi and the bigger one I can't remember the name of the mine.

Work on my camp knife

Work

My cat came to see that I'm working properly

Iyoto +nagura

more naguras

Uchigamori stone + stones for Ha-zuya

Nakayama + nagura

Damn those stone look beautiful. If I had the time and money I probably would get into naturals. Unfortunately I have neither! :(

thank you.
I will surprise you - some of the natural cost around the 30$ (The price factors are: wight, shape, mine reputation and toxicity*) if you don't mind to buy a 600 gram, odd shaped stone - you can have one.
as long as you have a flat area - your good, people tend to buy symmetrical stones, therefore the high price.

*toxicity refers to stones who are not unified and have spots who can chip or scratch blades.

Here is some of my current stones.

I didn't mean to double post that last one so heres the other one. Brown one is a true hard Arkansas, late 70s smiths tri hone, and a pinnacle soft Arkansas/ black Arkansas combo.

Ethan, i have never seen or even heard of that type of stone. Are they anything like Arkansas? By saying natural im assuming so to some degree. I seen a foreign lettering on some. Where are they native to?

Buckman, those are Japanese naturals - also known as Jnats. They're water stones and they work much differently than an Ark.

Oh boy , so much where to start..

Starting on the top row its loaded with compounds , and misc accessories. I have over 30 different compounds on inventory right now. From 2 different types of Diamond , CBN , Alumina , and Boron Carbide , and some experimental compounds. I have half a dozen new compounds on order right now , including a new type of diamond. Theres also stuff up there like my angle gauge , ceramic rod , cleaners and lubricants.

The top drawer is loaded with synthetic stones , mostly Shaptons and Nubatamas , theres a few Naniwa stones hiding is there as well.

The middle drawer is full of Japanese Natural Stones , It has stones that range from 100ish grit , to 30,000grit and beyond. Stones from mines such as Nakayama , Hideryiama , Yaginoshima , Ozuku , Hakka , Monzen , Tajima , Mukaida , Aono... The list goes on and on and on.... I have several new ones on order , including a much rarer , much more expensive finishing stone... Sorry not sharing any details about that particular stone at this time.. :)

The lower drawer is full of entirely diamond products , it has Atoma plates and Kens Diamond Films.

Theres another drawer , not visible here. It is full of strops in sandwhich baggies. They are all labeled and organized.
Imagine lots of these (nanocloth)

And lots of this (Kangaroo)

Then theres my little veho microscope , I use it to help problem solve and to play with different combinations of using stropping compounds to supercharge Jnats.

Then theres my Edge Pro of course , its been modified with a custom guide block , and is capable of reaching 2.5 degrees per side. I had it made from Titanium , cuz Titanium.

Heres a totefull of Nagura , this is mostly matching Tomonagura for all my Jnats , theres a few more interesting ones there , such as the Jokeji , which is a nagura that is smoked prior to being sold. They are kind of hard to get as they are in limited amounts and are only smoked during certain times of the year.

Heres the Jokeji Nagura

Heres my new Cleaner , Lubricant , and Protectant. Aegis was kind enough to send samples of the cleaner and lube. Expect to hear more about it in the future.

Here's one of the Marukei series stones. That's Marukei - NOT Maruka. I've got more stones of this quality as well as more basic natural stones. More info on request :)

This is an Ashidani Renge Suita stone. Quite rare. Not a Marukei stone but one of a numbered series of rare stones. I've got several 4' wide storage shelves, 5 shelves per storage shelf full of Natural stones, so I can't show them all here, but you can see more of them on my Facebook page, https://www.facebook.com/ken.schwartz.984 .

Be careful with the Jyunpaku { the Snow White } They have a history of developing hairline cracks due to the Magnesium bonding agent. use it as a splash & go only, then let it dry
in a cool spot.

this is what mine looked like after about 6 months of use, never any long soaking, only a couple of min. until the bubbles slowed down.

So does the chosera and Shapton, the key to survival it not soaking. I only use these stones splash-n-go and towel dry when finished.

My 2k Shapton arrived! Very nice stone with a great feel

These are my Nubatama stones. 150, 1k and 4k

My much loved Green Brick and Arashiyama 6k.

I like the 2k pro a lot more than I once did. Its an easy stone to leave an uneven looking bevel with if your not consistant enough. I still like my 2k speckled ume as well.
