New Sub-$8 Canoe

Picked up the made in China Remington Sportsman Insignia Series canoe for $7.47 at a local hardware store. I looked through 10-15 knives to find one that was not too gappy or had blade rub on the liners or each other. I finally found one. I probably shouldn't I've bought it, but oh well.

It was shaving sharp out of the package. Blade steel is 440A and it is 3 5/8" closed.

Hand picking them makes all the difference. Looks good.

You aren't kidding! I'd find one with the blades off the liners but they'd be rubbing on each other. Then one exactly opposite. Then one with the blades good but a bunch of gaps........and on and on. This one is about right for an $8 production knife.
