I have been wanting to add another small benchtop drill press and was ready to purchase another import HF or equivalent. I stopped in at my favorite used machinery dealer and came across this little high speed Hamilton precision drill press. I resurfaced the table on my surface grinder, cleaned , adjusted a few items and put it to work! I also purchased the ac-vari drive, I lose a bit of torque but I am only using this drill for 1/16 or 3/32 holes.

Does anyone happen to have one of these Hamilton's? I would love to find a parts breakdown.

I was wondering how fast a high speed Hamilton goes?

Hi Nathan,

The motor is rated at 3450 and after doing the math , on the faster of the two speeds , looks like the rpm is approximately 11,225. Of course that is a no load rpm. The slower speed is about 1/3 slower.
