New survival knife or new Leatherman TI-wave?

I have been wanting to get the Fallkniven S-1. I don't have a 5" survival knife. But my Leatherman Super tool is 12 or 13 years old. It is really worn out but still functional.

BTW, I have the F-1 and love it. I was thinking of getting a larger knife for longer trips that warrant a one FB for weight.

Any thoughts?

Thanks

if you feel that your leatherman needs some replacing, then go for it. if it is the sort of thing you use daily or otherwise very often, perhaps for work etc...replace that before you get a new toy.

if the leatherman is still going strong and it doesn't really need replacing, then i would say get yourself a new toy...

My vote is for the Leatherman, I like to rotate my knives, except for my Leatherman, Charge-TI ,I`ts always on my belt. A lot of our stuff come from China, And the Leatherman is a great tool for taking some of those thing apart, to find out why they don`t work any more.

S1 is a great knife.

One of these days I need to pick up a A1 blank blade. If only they sold the Wilderness knife blade only.

Not sure what you mean by worn out, but Leatherman has an outstanding warranty service, I think 25 year guarantee. It is probably worth looking into.
Of course, new toys are always more fun ;)

If you work in the trades with it, and need to replace it, go with the Wave or Charge. I've recently been sold on SAKs, but definitely not for the trades environment.

My leatherman supertool is not damaged just loose. I think it has got a few more years left.

I might just get some kydex sheath setups. Tighten up the gear I already have.

Thanks
