Like I've said any number of times, it's only starvation! To be honest, though, I've had some really good luck when fellow forumites have had to disavail themselves of some nice Khukuris.
I don't know why, but I seem to spend more time handling the Khukuris than any other type of knife I own. It just seems reasonable to check the edge, polish the blades, or shine up the brass. It's more work than most of my custom stainless stuff, but I find it very relaxing to do every evening or so.
Watch out, "charels" and Anton, one Khukuris always seems to lead to another. I fully sympathize with "tique" who is afraid that continued presence of a WWII will affect his knife collecting habits. Selling it, nonwithstanding, I'll bet it already has!!
