knifecenter has those new tac-lites in and they look sweet. Now if only I hadnt already spent all of my money on the shop's sale...

Trying is just a noisy way of not doing something.

I really like Buck knives and recently purchased a Taclite. The knife feels great, is very light and has a tremendous edge out of the box.

However, I have to complain about the linerlock button release mechanism because it does not work very well. It's far easier to just treat the knife as a liner lock and release the locking bar. Also Buck assembled the knife handles and liners with rivets, I would have preferred that they use Torx screws.

I'm thinking about removing the rivets and the release button and then cutting out a bit of the right liner to allow easy access to release the liner lock and putting new G10 handles on the knife. That will make it a true one hand knife.

Joe, please have quality take a look at the release mechanism. It takes too much effort (i.e. you have to press the button too deep)to release the linerlock.

Best Regards,
