Well, finally had a chance to build a proto for my new tactical, as some of you may know, I retired the old pattern a couple months ago. The new knife is much better I think, better blade/handle ratio, thicker liners ( .065 ), more comfortable and useful in the hand. It also has some features that Ive not used before, Ambi thumbstuds, as well as a third standoff. Note also that the standoffs are machined with a hour glass shape. ATS34 steel, 5/32" thick, bead blasted. Blade is 3 7/8 long, overall length is 8 3/4". Dovetailed and beadblasted SS bolsters. The knife is supposed to have a regular Bowie type blade, the recurve was one of those happy accidents, so I think I will offer it as an option. Natural canvas micarta. I think that covers it, though it feels like I'm forgeting something.
The blade is not sharpened or marked yet. Let me know what ya think -- Charles
