I have discovered an amazing new piece of technology that makes stitching sheaths in front of the TV much easier for an old guy like me.

One of my problems is when I move from my well lit leather bench in the basement up to the living room where the family can see where I am and what I am doing...quality time is what they are calling it now a days.

So I sit in front of the TV in my favourite chair and stitch the sheaths that I have made up but the light is not as bright as my old eyes require for the job or is in the wrong place to see properly.

I have found a great technical innovation to improve the situation at my local Princess Auto store. A 4 LED clip on headlight that clips onto the peak of a baseball hat and gives a bright working light where ever I look for only $4 and change, batteries included.

No Kidding..cheap bright light aimed exactly where you are stitching.

One of my son's got me one for Christmas. I may use it as well. Have a good one in the old chair when you are stitching the sheaths. :)

my mom bought me one for christmas too lol

princess auto is pretty good but more expensive then harbour frieght
still the best choice for us canadians though

You'd look like Darth Vader, Mike!

I sorta feel like an off road 4x4, but it lights the way nicely.... :D

I bought Nanc one of those 5-LED headsets out of AG Russell for making jewelry. Actually, I bought it to try myself and it never made it down to the shop, conscripted by the boss. :)

Task lighting helps a lot as the old eyeballs age.

Outstanding George!!!
I've been thinking about getting one of those lately, now I know I will!

Seems to me that the older you get the more light you seem to need. I'm at the point a carbon searchlight would be borderline anymore (grin). One thing I have done around my grinders is put in 75 watt halogen spot lights in my adjustable lamps. That makes a tremendous difference for me.
