New testing ideas: Becker Challenges

The Machax is an awesome knife. I feel for those who never got one. Luckily, I've got one hidden away for a GAW. Thinking of doing that when I hit 1000 subs.

RBKs are simply awesome. Just start a fund, and save. You'll have one before you know it.

Just received my new Machax! No pics yet. I'll try and get some up tomorrow. Used it for some quick brush clearing and for cutting down some Sumac trees. This thing is awesome!

Okay. I've used the machax a couple of times now and I've gotta say that I am very impressed. (When I get the edge fully re-profiled I will be even more impressed.) I love that it doesn't feel too big in the hand. It is so controllable. I am seriously considering this knife for farm edc this spring, summer, and fall!

As you can see, I found a dead tree. The top was very rotten seeing as I could stab all the way through it. The bottom was still pretty hard. Took a couple of minutes but the old thing came down. About a 9 inch diameter tree.

Can't wait to get back out there and do a few more challenges that you all have set for me.

Another sheep farming Beckerhead!

From the pic it looks like you have Suffolks and maybe a couple Dorpers or Katahdins?

I'm not sure what a lot of them are. It's my fathers farm. I know that most of them came from a painted desert ram. I will be using the 4 for edc on a 200+ acre veggie farm.

Cool. They're trouble, but I love lambing season (which is in full swing for us right now).

Yeah, the weather is great. We've got 60 right now and quite a few left to lamb. Should be able to make it to 100 before lambing is done.

We just have a small "hobby" farm. Selling a few yearlings around this time of year. Still a lot of work though.

Finally finished re-profiling the edge with this. Took 2 days but I'm extremely happy with the edge now. Anybody else use the lansky turnbox for the machax?

I use the Spyderco Sharpmaker. Which is basically the same setup.
Except I'll use diamond rods for reprofiling. I'm not a patient man by nature...:D

Next time it will be diamond Rods for sure. I never thought it was going to happen but it should be easier from here on out.
