Hi guys,

I've been reading lots of info and stories here for a while, out of general interst in knives. I thought it would be nice to indtroduce myself and show the knives I've been using. They're nothing fancy but helped me in different tasks most of my life. The reason for joining the forums is to make a good choise when buying a next knife. I'm an architect so my knife use is mostly on weekends and (camping)trips, not professional (as you might have guessed after seeing my collection :p).

This is my small collection:

About them:
The fixed blade I bought as a child about 25 years ago, used it for playing in the woods... Has a leather sheath with tiny sharpening stone.
The folder below that with wood inlay is about 20 years old, has a brand "AAS" on the blade, had a very weak lock, but I've used it mostly during camping trips. Came with a black leather sheath (that smelled horrible for about a decade)
The blue folder is a cheap knife I have in my car door because of the safety buckle cutter and window breaker. Again the locking system for the blade is very poor. Bought it about 2 years ago. Came with a pocket clip.
The black folder next is a knife from Fenix, the flaslight company. A bit small but very sharp and a solid lock. edc-ed it for a while but it hasn't seen much use. Carried with a pocketclip. Bought about 2 years ago.
The 2 SAK's are my most used knives. The thin one I got from my grandpa as a 11 year old boy. Love it mainly for sentimental reasons. Doesn't see much use as it's very thin that makes the hard to handle.
The Victorinox Huntman has been with me for about 15 years. Used on camping trips, hikes and even edc for a while. It fits perfectly in a 1aa flashlight sheath.
Last one, the multitool sits in the back of my car. Hasn't seen much use but I like the idea of having load of tools in such a small package.

A next knife buy will probably me a bit better quality folder... although I'm not ready for spending $100,- + on a Mini Skirmish or Caly3. Maybe a decent used Delica4 will show up in the exchange forums to get me started on a more serious folder.

:)

Welcome aboard!! Trust me, your price limit will increase just as the number of knives in your collection will do. Great to see that you still have the knives from your childhood. They may not be the best, but a lot of memories come along with those knives. So, enjoy your stay, it'll be long, expensive and wonderful!!

Instead of waiting for that Delica4 (which will show up, don't worry. :) ), check out the Tenacious. G-10, 4way clip, FFG blade with some decent steel, all for under $35 mostly.

Welcome to BladeForums! :D

Thnx for the warm welcome everyone! Also for the warnings about keeping eye on my wallet :D

There's no brand or any markings found on the knife or on the sheath so I have no clue who made it. I do remember it came in 2 sizes, and this was the smaller one. It sharpens really well and I've chopped down small trees with it as a kid so I agree that it's a pretty good knife.

i just talked to my buddy who had one but he sold it. he said its made by camillus. he said to look the knife over real good and you will see it stamped somewhere.

Hi guys, I'm also new here and I just bought an Aitor. Try to find any Aitor subforum here...but couldnt find any.

Any Aitor's collector here?

Welcome. And I'm sorry for your wallet. I joined just like you, to research my next knife purchase. That was about fifteen knives and a few hundred (maybe thousand) dollars ago.

When I joined 9 years ago, this sight influenced me on my first quality knife purchase... a Buck/Strider 880

Welcome to a progressive addiction. The knives get more expensive as you go.
