New to Busse Combat Knives

I own a BWM and an FBMLE. Haven't done any chopping yet with the new one but it feels like it weighs half of the LE. So it's faster but it will have somewhat less of an impact.

It still weighs in at 23 ounces so it will do better than most other blades on the market of similar length. :thumbup:

But it's not a FFBM. :D
 
Wow... That's a big difference! I would imagine it is still a tough blade though, right? Also, other than the Busse website and here, are there any websites that sell Busse knives?

The Bushwacker is a great large knife - it's large enough to carry backpacking, but thin and light enough that it won't outweigh your tent. It chops very well, is fine for batoning, and is WAY better for machete-like tasks like brush clearing than most large, heavy Busse's.



As far as places to buy Busse's - there is the bladeforums exchange for second hand purchases, the Busse website, and the Company Store ( http://www.bussecompanystore.com ). A few other dealers will occasionally have a random Busse or two for sale, but good luck finding them ;)
 
idahoskunk operates the only independent, Busse authorized retail web-store.

Those knives are typically available for immediate delivery, in contrast to the "place order, wait many weeks" business model of the main Busse Combat operation.

Busse also has a booth at Blade and Blade West, the spring and fall Knob Creek shows, and thatmguy runs a table at gun shows in Columbus, OH, and the Indy 1500.

I can hardly imagine a better two knife combo, for the price, then the Boss Streets and BWM. With just those two you will have most of your bases covered. Of course coverings one's bases is never enough of a reason to stop buying Busses.

My addiction began with a hg-55, and now if I don't handle some infi every so many hours, I begin to experience withdraw symptoms. Since I can't lug my hg with me every place, I carry a HC which I liken to infi methadone to stave off the DT's whilst at work. :p

My dealer needs to get my BWM to me *shakes and scratches* the HG is no longer high enough a dose!
 
im in th opposite boat as you. a few days ago i odered my first busse, a BWM. and now im thinking about getting a boss street.

Each time was like a frat party. There was a buzz, then a high, then a moment of pure ecstasy, then I woke up in the morning, looked at my wallet, and said "Oh dear God, what the hell did I do?"
