Good afternoon Gang, and I beleive this is my first post here. I attempted one the other week that returned some sort of error email (maybe it meant my post was unacceptable).
This will be a ramble-type post, as I dont often have time for this type stuff...
I have now a plethora of coated/satin Busse's from: Meaner Streets, Boss Jack, LCABS, MOJO Variant (probably my favorite as i think it could do anything the "so-called" outdoors knives could do), NMSFNO (Satin and Coated), SFNO-custom, NMFSH-custom with Swedge, ASHBM-camo, FSH-red/black g10, INFImandu, some custom job INFImandu with bone, BOSS HG55 with CBT (crazy knife), BWMLE, BWM, TG, TGLB, Swamp Rat Custom chop/ratweiler, i think there are more....waiting on a bronze CGFBM, and a Greem CBT Hell Razor...
I am going insane on these knives, BTW...will be looking to liquidate some as my users become apparent...
I have "hard used" the ASHBM-camo, Satin NMSFNO, BWMLE, cut up meat with all those too and the infimandu G-10 used for skinning. As for choppers, ASHBM is a butter knife on trees, BWMLE, still a great knife, not as much bite (obviously), NMSFNO can chop, just it is a different conversation that the ASHBM. Custom NMSFNO did have some slight chipping/rolling post use near tip. We tried some ceramic rods in situ, yet the "scallops in the blade" remain. I know I can mechanically get to a better spot, just an addition to the to-do list and a trip to my uncle's shop in baton rouge about an hour away where he has belts. I am used to sharperning everything by hand, before I got all these huge knives with differeing blade geometry etc...
I have rolls/chips on my NMSFNO from battoning near the rounded/tip area, and I have some sort of rolling in same curved/blade area on the Anniversary MOJO after attacking some cabbage and bell pepper in ther kitchen - I can see the MOJO roll, just need to thoughtfully get it out...
Good thing, on all the thick knives, there is so much to work with you can make them your own blade-wise. and the smaller ones, hand sharpening should still be a good option to get it how you want it.
I am happy so far, just mu openeing salvo...
Sorry no pics, working right now, too...
