New to Busse

Welcome!

The Battle mistress is a line of choppers. Different versions are thicker, thinner, convex, saber grind, and the Nuclear Meltdown is even longer.

All great choppers!

My first Busse was a Battlemistress. FBMLE to be specific.

Great first to start with!

Another place to lurk is on the Busse exchange on this site. Pics, and more importantly helps you get a feel for what the going prices are on the different models.

Also, lurking on this sub forum will help out. It has been very slow around here for some reason recently.

Here are some Rats and a Skinny Porker to give you an idea of relative size.... I have a SAR3, and a Skeleton Key that are not pictured, and pretty soon I'll have a Satin Sabre Heavy Heart to add to the mix.

They are:
BWM
Chopweiler
Ratmandu
HRLM
And an A2Ratchet on the left

I am biased because I own them but:

small fixed blade - sar3
6-7" - hell razor
chopper - CGFBM with the corregated blade

I love everything about these knives. When I look back now at all my other knives I can see their imperfections. I can't wait to get one. I've never had a knife with nice scales/handle.

Thanks everyone, I haven't looked at the Busse exchange yet, I'll find it and bookmark it!

^^^ This ^^

SARSquatch is a much better knife that any ASH, IMO.

Well, certainly more useful in an everyday sense. Way more comfortable handle.

The ASH is more suited for your Zombie-Apocalypse/Post-Apocalyptic needs, and in that sense it would be fantastic. Hardly a stronger knife on the planet.

There is a link to the Busse, Swamp Rat and Scrapyard exchange at the top of the "Production Knives For Sale By Individuals" page.

Good luck on your hunt!
