New to Forum and Old Timer Collecting

I can't jump in , I am drooling too much. WOW ! you guy's are amazing. IRV the web site just was a little confusing for me. I have it saved and probably will be reading it extensively this weekend when not working. The second time I looked at it I was starting to get a better feel for it.

Welcome to jstanfield103!

Not to steal the thread ... I echo Calvin's comment on the http://www.collectors-of-schrades-r.us/ site !!

The site has been EXTREMELY HELPFUL in checking catalogs, viewing 'back in the day' advertisements and member collections
No other knife manufacuter that I've seen is represented anywhere near as comprehensively

jstanfield103! please do give it a 2nd look - If you plan to collect Schrade, the site is a time capsule of Schrade information

Thanks Larry (lrv) and to all the folks that have contributed or will contribute in the future!!

Absolutely. Seems I'm always looking on there for comparison photos, to re-read the Prince Albert story, or to 'spy' on the other collectors in their corners.

Actually I'm looking for a better layout of the page. Suggestions welcome.

I can't imagine the time necessary for such an undertaking. But the way the site has grown, with so much new information being added since the first release, it has perhaps become awkward. I can imagine someone, such as the OP, going there to find information on Old Timers. They'd find the "Old Timer" knife section with the standard photos of each model (which is extremely helpful), but perhaps become frustrated with the reality that other Old Timer information is peppered throughout the site in many different sections: Anniversary knives, flyers, "Something Special," etc. They're bound to miss something.

I'm not complaining about a free resource, but you did ask. ;)

Greetings,

I just wanted to quickly introduce myself. Let it be known that i am not a knive collector so you may be wondering why im here.
So, my introduction begins;n I have a part time job, this job has become like a treasure hunting expedition for me. The house which use to belong to a minimal hoarder has left it up to me to clean house. Currently im working in the garage and discovered Schrade, 152OT and an Uncle Henry LB-8 both with the sheaths. As i was researching these items i came across this site, and wahlah! Thanks everyone for such detailed information regarding schrade.

**I happen to be selling both items on Ebay so if any of you are interested you may take a peek. :)**

Hi Mr Honey from Australia,
Anyone can join in any time. The only thing we can not do, is sell or talk about the price of knives. KG.

The web site will be gone over better this weekend. Me being very new to the Schrade collecting, the site was just as described a little overwhelming. Now as I get a little more familiar with Schrade I will probably have an easier time with it. It would definitely be a hard job to keep everything correlated.
Thanks IRV

Bob, Thanks for the comments. I really am looking for ideas for the new layout. The site has been up like it is for a few years and is in need of revamping. It was designed when many users were still using dial up modems and were having problems with speed. Hopefully dialup modems have gone the way of 5 1/4" floppy drives :-) I keep adding content and would like to notify folks when there is newer stuff to see. I have Camillus stuff I need to add that folks have sent and I have been remiss in doing so. I will get er done.

Larry, Like we talked about we need a Frontier area and I need to get busy and send you pictures.
