Hello everyone. I am new to this forum. It has came up quite a few times during google searches and I recently ran into a buying issue so I figured I would stop lurking.

Kind of new to the high end carry scene. Finally decided to buy my first knife that is over $100, a zt 0562. Anyways it was through ebay/paypal. I send him a offer he accepts. I pay the next morning and he ships out that day I believe. Says it is estimate to arrive monday so I was out and about today taking care of errands. Come home, no notice on my door or in mailbox (sent by USPS btw). I check the tracking number and it says

I live in an apartment generally if things are USPS it fits in my mailbox though. I contact the buyer tell him what happened and he says they made a mistake and it should be at the post office. Get there early monday morning. It is really starting to frustrate me. I can't schedule a redelivery or pickup through their website.

Do you think he did the "package intercept" option? I dont get why there was no notice. My girlfriend and I generally get 2-5 packages a week, half of them are left at our door with no issues so I don't see someone stealing the notice.

I assume I am covered because of ebays policy. I am not familiar with anything though pay pal but assume they have some sort of policy just from what ive collected in the last couple hours browsing here.

Call your post office have them hold the package and go pick it up. Thats probably the easiest thing to do

Call the post office. Ask to speak to the postmaster. Your likely jumping the gun. Ive shipped thousands of packages and can only recall one that vaporized.

I am curious when you say half the packages arrive with no issues.....What happens to the other half?

Generally Half are left at the door with no issues. We are there for the other half or they fit in our mailbox.

I hope I am jumping the gun but have never gotten anything like that on my tracking. I have sent lots of things through the mail as well. Have had everything from post office giving to to neighbor to leaving it with an apartment office.

"unable to deliver as addressed"? He sent it to the right address as well. Never seen that or heard of it.

I don't think I have ever seen a USPS package left at a door of an apartment complex. There is usually a wall of mailboxes and the office will hold the package. That is the way it worked when I lived in apartments. If the box doesn't fit in the mailbox it is the same scenario.
Check and make sure your address is correctly entered into Paypal.
Contact the USPS and give them the tracking number so they can look into it on their end. Going in person is better than calling.

Everything is good on my end as far as address. Yeah usually it is left in the mailbox. I guess it didnt fit and we don't have an office on site.

Nothing new has happened when I check tracking but i assume its because of a weekend. If its being shipped back does it get a different tracking number? idk.. guess I have to wait until tomorrow.

its most likly at youre local post office.go with youre id I asume it has youre adress and the tracking number and pick it up.if it was intercepted it would say that.you are covered on PayPal as long as you didnt pay by gift never even pay by gift .if you did and he is scamming you are screwed sol..you are jumping the gun just go pick it up and enjoy youre new 562.

You can also request that the post office hold anything for you that does not fit the dimensions of the mailbox you are issued. In that case, there is those larger boxes with a key, the carried locks your package in those larger boxes and leaves the key inside your mailbox. Some apartments are really ghetto though and don't even have those (not saying your area is ghetto, but you know what I mean). Worst case, ask your local post office that handles mail for your complex to hold any and all packages, it would be the safest alternative.

Don't assume anything. I've had packages start their return journey over the weekend. I would first visit the PO, talk with the clerk, have them check the current status, and then head to wherever the item is (can be at a postal delivery center, not necessarily your PO). I've always had good luck in person, rather than phone (plus less chances of that looooooong tracking number being incorrectly interpreted). If it has already started back, the same tracking will be updated all the way till it reaches the seller. Good luck, and hope you recover the package.

The package may have Signature Confirmation. If you enter the tracking number in the USPS website, it should show whether it has Signature Confirmation or not.

If it does, you will need to sign for the package.
