Nope. You said 40° inclusive. 20° per side is 40 inclusive. 😇
Prior to 2000 Buck "sharpened" their 100 series to between 40 and 50 degrees inclusive. With "Edge 2000" (Post 2000) they sharpen to 25 to 30° inclusive.

Try 25 to 30° inclusive. You'll swear the blade performs like a "better" steel.
 
It was one of those deals when I saw it, I knew my wallet was about to get lighter. On a constant journey to find “the perfect pocket knife.

Opinions differ on edge anglles. For example, Spyderco’s Sharpmaker gives 30 & 40 degrees as preset angles with 40 being their recommended final edge. The 30 degree edge is recommended for thinning out an edge.
