Hi ,,,I wish to greet all members here,I am new to this forum as to HI customer base....Just placed order for 20 inch CAK to see the craftsmanship and performance on these blades....

That's the knife I wanted as my first but they didn't have it in stock at that time. I can tell you one thing tho, you definitely will be impressed at how amazing the craftsmanship is. Oh and welcome to the forum!

However,I am not new to overall blade/knife industry, metallurgy and so on,have my bit of experience and research done throughout many times, but like with all passions & professions - there is always my personal saying & truth : we know always less than we don't....so in other words there is always a lot to learn or to give

Thank you for your reply CubeLW !!! When it comes to custom/handmade knifes-it will always pay off to wait.....I would be very suspicious if order send too quick....(especially if ordered with special request for blade)

Welcome to the forum Seriousebladeno1! I have regular 20" AK and it is in my opinion one of HI's finest choppers. I havent killed a bear with it yet but Ive sure busted up a lot of firewood;) ...Oh you did say Chiruwa! Wow. 20" is a little longer than the average CAK. They are usually around 16-18" i believe. That will be a real beast! Love to see pics of that one:thumbup:
Some eye candy while ya wait;) though i doubt you will have to wait long.

20"AK by Lachhu not Chiruwa but beast anyway.

Welcome to HI, and will have to say sorry at the same time :D, why????? cause when you get your CAK your poor wallet is going to suffer something fierce after, these are some of the finest khuks going. Anyho welcome and cant wait to see your new blade when you get it. Ohh yeah if that Bawanna fella comes around...... he will try to get it from ya so dont fall for his shenanigans.

Now seriously a bit, khukuri is blade for multi-tasking,difference in sizes comes in few tens of bucks so to not feel sorry for future,it's possibly better to pay few bucks more for top of the line models-regardless of series....i think. However i know-there is also 30inch CAK -nowhere yet to be seen on reviews, this would be in contradiction not very useful blade, due to its weight and size ,,,I think 20" is just max size for short cold weapon/tool......

Anything over 20-25inch ,,,to be effective I would be talking Japanese Samurai Swords and these are complete different category of cold weapons, unseen in many civilisations around the globe at the time....

Don't listen to these guys Serious. I'm gentle and harmless, less I'm riled. I am at the mailbox waiting for a bowie, that part is true.

Welcome.

Greetings Serious.... can;t wait to see pics of your AK and to see how you like it. My first was a 16" Chiruwa Ang Khola.. love it love it. Couldn't put it down until me next one showed up!
welcome.... great resources to learn from here, enjoy as I have so far

CubeLW those are really outstanding blades on your pictures here, thank you! Just a question-is that a horn handle?Tyrelee, thank you for your reply ! I do appreciate a lot handmade knifes-Nepal have two genuine competitors in making khukuries (I may be wrong but so far this is my conclusion) both catering for different base of customers-both doing great job and very relevant to its products costs.....What I do appreciate a lot-is always forged hand made blade,in fire and basic tools-by old traditions...these blades will last forever compared to any mass-factory made machine constructions.... When it comes to blades-it's always good to do research and invest where your mouth is,,,,these blades (Nepal) are one of the finest, most usefull, lethal (if situation requires) on the planet to date....Investing hard earned money into factory mass production knifes I consider as lack of knowledge .....regardless of brand name.

Welcome serious, rest assured you will be fully impressed, and more than satasfied with your choice.

A 20" CAK is a beast!

I personally find about 18" my max for most of the blades here, to use in a continuuing fashion, of course, I have bigger blades, but they're more for show and tell, collecting, and every once in a while, I will need my 25" Kobra to do some vine control on my back fence...:)

Thanks! The pic here is of my first khuk, 20 inch Gelbu Special with wood handle.

Thank you and hope you will be right cul4u01,I have my eye on Sirupate's models allready, these models are according my judgment most lethal and usefull in full CQB combat scenarios

Photobucket isn't working right now, I'll post the pics when it's back up.

I keep an 18" Bashpati under the nightstand:

A 11 1/2" Suga and 12 1/4" Trisul in the nightstand drawer:

The Suga has a sharpened top swedge, and it is one of the deadliest CQ blades I have ever come across.

Sorry I can't see these blades

Somehow I would still consider Sirupate models to be the fastest, one of the most devastating blades (due to simple physics)
