Thanks to elde66 elde66 Super solid guy!

First American Kershaw I’ve ever owned. And man. It literally JUST came in the mail. I’ve hardly played with it.

Im a fan of Kershaw. (They make nice imports) but the level of attention to detail and craftsmanship on this USA build. Definitely gotta try another one soon!

Link's are nice they've been around a hot minute so Kershaw has them down pat.

Wish Kershaw would offer less speed assist though, it's their thing I suppose.

I think it’s more of a marketing thing than anything. I have a few speed assists and a few of their manuals, and some of the manuals actually flip easier than the assisted. So it’s not like they need the assist … though it is a pretty nice feature nonetheless.

I agree it's not needed but it seems like all the big collabs they have speed assist on it.

If Pro-Tech can come out with a butter smooth manual and wow everyone I'm kind of surprised Kershaw doesn't offer more in manual but yeah it's their big feature and it's no knock on them for it.

I have two 1776s the one pictured that I got on a swap with my FIL for my plain handled m390, because he didn't like the new textured handle, and one in Alabama Damascus. Great knives!

Kershaw are a fun brand that aren't afraid to do a ton of experimental designs and work with a lot of different designers. I'm more a fans of Zero Tolerance tank knives, but I fully appreciate the Blur, Link, and Atmos. I bought a Strata XL because I wanted a big silly knife, but I was surprised how compact it is when folded. It came in such a small box that I had to double check the label to see if they'd sent me the right knife. If I had smaller hands, I'd probably own a Leek. Knives like the Pub, Shuffle, and Cinder make decent small gift knives for people who aren't yet that into knives. I also like the way they give people a more budget friendly way to get access to knife designers featured in the Zero Tolerance lineup, like Hinderer, RJ Martin, Sinkovich, and Emerson.

I wish ZT would make Skyline sprint!

See that’s me. I’ve had two super cool/nice knives in the past but they were gifts. My go to are actually trapper style and Buck 110/112. I’m wanting to venture out more into more modern designs.

I’ve found peace with Civivi, the nicer Chinese Kershaw. Stuff like that. This one (the Link) was a gift as well. Looking into more U.S. Kershaw. I really dig the Blur too.

Congrats on your new Link! It's a fine knife and Kershaw has the best warranty ever.

Remember that torsion bars give out over time. You can call Kershaw and they'll send you a new one or 2 in the mail. It always hurts my heart when I read a random comment online like, "my Speedsafe gave out. Threw away my knife and am rocking a new Ozark Trail" or something like that...

Nice Link! The few non auto US made Kershaws left remind me of a simpler time when I was a Kershaw dealer and they were making tons of awesome designs in the US and collaborating with some really awesome knifemakers. Those old Kershaws are some of my favorite knives of all time. I should probably checkout a Link or Dividend one of these days and see how their current US models compare to their golden years.
