New to me Kershaw.

Congrats! I sold my link a couple of years ago and I regret it today! It’s built like a tank and will last you years to come, enjoy!

Nice Link! The few non auto US made Kershaws left remind me of a simpler time when I was a Kershaw dealer and they were making tons of awesome designs in the US and collaborating with some really awesome knifemakers. Those old Kershaws are some of my favorite knives of all time. I should probably checkout a Link or Dividend one of these days and see how their current US models compare to their golden years.
What’s a older model you like? I’ll have to try to hunt one down. I’m really digging the Link. I actually found a Springfield Armory Kershaw Link on eBay and got it for $20! As grownstar grownstar mentioned, Kershaw has a fantastic warranty. The Link on EBay has a broken pocket clip. Haven’t gotten the knife yet. But Kershaw is already sending a new clip and screws. Absolute hell of a knife for $20. Surprised I got it for that. But cool it’s branded with the Springfield XD

And yea the dividend caught my eye. Like I said. I’ve been pretty happy with the 50-75 Chinese Kershaw models. But the link made me a believer and the cool thing they seem to be absolutely solid and $100-200 less than a lot of other USA makes. So I have been browsing their USA page online. And for a guy that favors more traditional style knives. For some reason the compound blade teeth on the Dividend look amazingly cool.

You're going to like the stonewash that Kershaw does on the USA models! That's a darn good snag!
I’m actually digging the overall wear. I have a couple “safe princess” knives. And a few work horses. The wear on this one is almost to perfect. if that makes sense lol. But looks pretty badass.

If you're really digging Kershaw and don't mind spending a few extra dollars, I'd highly recommend trying to get your hands on a Leek in magnacut. I've asked around here and on reddit. People seem pretty impressed with their magnacut so far and it's definitely the cheapest way to get a fancy steel blade! I think bladehq still has some of the blue/black gradient handle models left.

Solid knife. My only complaint (I’ve carried a cheaper Chinese Leek) but I can’t get over the tip down carry. I have a couple. But they never get used due to that.

I love the design, I really love that blue-black fade. And $109 is great for what it is. But can’t spend that much for a knife I know I’ll never carry

I feel you there, I passed along a Microtech Socom Elite for the same reason. Ended up with a great ZT0560BW courtesy of a member here, so I'm happy and he's happy!

I have a version of the link with the same handle, and a stonewash M390 blade, I swapped it with my FIL for his green handle textured version in 20cv, I told him I wanted to swap back if he ever wanted to get rid of it 😀

I’ve never owned a ZT. But have one on my radar. Had some buddies in the Navy that were actual NCIS. We always got a kick out of watching the tv show and talked about what’s real vs what’s made up. But Special Agent Gibbs was seen quite often with a ZT0301. Which has been discontinued. But they still make the 0350.

I have a bonus coming in next check. That will be roughly $275 after taxes. I’m trying to decide if I want the ZT0350TS or a knife I’ve been lusting over for a while the Jack Wolf Knives Big Bro Jack in the sweet camocarbon gecko

I have a gently used ZT0350 that I'm sure I could work out a great deal with a fellow Kershaw enthusiast. Just PM me and I'll send pics

Hmm. Unfortunately I don’t have the ability to PM here. But my email is my username. At gmail.

Fair enough! Different preferences for different people. Having something you know you'll like and use makes all the difference!

That's a hell of a knife for 20 bucks! Very nice score. What's an older US made Kershaw model I like? Man... I have many that I really like and that bring back a lot of nastalgia. I used to go to their blem sale every year and was in tight with their Head of Marketing, so he'd hook me up. Some models I really like include: Shallot (I'm playing with a S110v one right now), Random Task, RAM, Junkyard Dog II (all of it's variants), Tyrade (the titanium framelock, composite blade, with carbon fiber inlays is one of my very favorite knives of all time), Needs Work, Avalanche (I carried one of these for a year and a half right before coming back to Bladeforums, one of my favorites), Skyline (the old US made one), Some of the discontinued Blur variants in different scales, Spec Bump, honestly I really like a lot of the old US made Kershaw models. They were all made very well and bring very fond memories back.

Hmm. The Needs Work and Skyline catch my eye. Kinda like the Junkyard Dog II as well 🤣

There’s more on the list that look solid but I just can’t do too down carry. Some of them are changeable. But some aren’t as well.

Kershaw has always been such a strong maker, they seem to punch above their weight class a lot of times. The build quality is almost always flawless, and if it isn't, it gets taken care of, the first time, quickly.

I've heard so many people bash their heat treatment all across the internet, and sure, a few slipped out at one point that maybe had some HT issues. Kershaw's HT program seems to aim to promote toughness without compromising too much edge holding ability. I've always found that they do a great job, overall. It's a great knife at a price point I'm not afraid to take out and use.

Yeah they're all great knives man. The Skyline's interchangeable. If you think about getting that one be aware that the originals were US made, then more recently they started making them overseas.

I caffied a Blur at work for about 12 years straight and it never let me down! Still use it often.
I know the Blur is thought highly of by military and LEO.

I gotta say. I liked most of the Chinese Kershaw I’ve ever used. (Few minor gripes here and there. But nothing real) I stayed away from the cheaper ones. But the $40-60 models. And have always been pretty happy. But the Link changes it all. While the Chinese ones pack a punch for the price. The American made are so much better, more solid, so much better QC.
