New to OTF's - recommendations?

Hogue, who is now the manufacturer for H&K, is up on my list I personally dislike Microtech from experience the triggers are too stiff and handles too slick plus I have heard so many bad things about the customer service and Anthony Marfione. If you also like side auto single action autos you can't go wrong with Protech from what I have seen of theirs.

I'm not too familiar with Guardian Tactical but IIRC they built the side open chain autos for Rat Worx which I think have been considered to be of a good build quality.

They make nice stuff, its the former lead engineer and CNC guy from Microtech that left to start their own company.

Just for something else, look at the regular Troodon (not combat). It is about the size of the UTX-85 but built more like a Scarab, it is a little heavier and more solid feeling than an Ultratech (which is the industry standard so you can't go wrong with one of those either). I don't have much experience with Hogue or Guardian OTF's but would stay away from the Benchmades because they seem to have more blade play than the MT's and they do not hold their value nearly as well.
