new to site, new to knife making

Ha guys, knew to knife making and knew to the site, not sure if this is the right place to ask this question. I picked up a new Grizzly 2x72 belt grinder and the belt seams to wonder a lot when I put pressure to one side of the belt or the other when grinding a bevel, making it hard to use the edge of the back stop behind the belt. Any ideas how I can fix this problem, belt to tight, to lose, etc.

Sounds like the belt is too loose. Try adding more tension and see how that works. Welcome to shoptalk!

Shane, that is a very nice upgrade. Put great wheels and one of Nathan's platens on there and you'd be in Cadillac mode.
