Hi Gang,

I am sure this has been stated many times in the past but, I just got a Tenacious, and can not get over what a GREAT knife this, regardless of the cost. This thing is superior to some of my blades, costing far more money!

Well done Spyderco! It looks as if I have a new company (Spyderco) addiction to feed. Now for the tough part, which one is next? Might just go for the gold and grab a military....:D Thanks for a great blade.

yup, love the tenacious around here. I have a SE one that spent most of a month buried in snow in a customers back yard, once it warmed up enough i went and got it and about 25 minutes of cleaning later, good as new :)

I don't have a milli, but my current favorite is the Caly 3 in Cf/ZDP

Welcome to the club.

Good thinking. Go for the gold! You think you like the Tenacious, you will love the Millie.
Welcome to the Spydie addiction, where the only cure is to buy more!

Welcome to the wonderful world spyderco the millie is an awesome choice -what features do you need/like and what will its main use be? my only complaint on the milli/para milli is that it is tip down carry only-other than that you would be hard pressed to find a better knife

The Endura is a great choice too. You can try out the backlock and save a little. But not for too long.
You'll soon be thinking about the next one. And the next, and next...:p:thumbup:

Thanks for the comments. I have always been a fixed blade type of guy. For many many years, my only folders were traditional Buck knives, 110, 112, Prince & a few slippies. Now that I have found Spyderco (thanks BF) I am quite impressed to say the least. If the Tenacious is this good from overseas with Spyderco's quality control, the Military must be out of this world with homeland USA pride! I am going to save and go for the Military for sure. Every review I have read on it has been outstanding, If the quality is as good as think it is, it may just get passed down to my son in a few years, then I can buy another version :D. Oh the addiction begins!!!!!!

Jeff, be warned, Spydie addiction is almost impossible to cure, once you're hooked, that's it, you're a lost case (I know I am...)

as far as the "traditional" Spydies go (traditional blades with a pointy tip), you can't go wrong with any of the following;
Salt 1
Pacific Salt
Delica
Endura
Paramilitary
Military
Manix (original flat-ground or the new Manix 2)
Chinook 3
Byrd Wings

for Little Big Knives (small blades with *huge* cutting power):
Cricket
Dodo
Dragonfly
Kiwi

"unusual" blade types (recurves, sheepsfoot, wharnies and such)
Dodo
Tasman Salt
Harpy
Superhawk
Civilian
Cricket

in all honesty though, your next Spydie purchase shouldn't be another knife, rather, get the Sharpmaker, that way you can *maintain* that Scary Sharp edge on all the Spydies you will eventually pick up

Oh the addiction begins!!!!!!

That's right. You cannot stop at Milly, much more to explore.
I even do not know how you were able to survive without Persian, Caly3 (or UPKP, if you want Golden made). Take a trip to Victirinox @ Westfarm to take a look, they have a nice selection, prices are crazy (full MSRP or more), but you can get anything on-line.
Good Luck

and

WELCOME To ADDICTION

Thanks Mac!

Friendly folks over here. I will be spending more time researching Spyderco products for sure. I have been free handing on stones & strops for a long time with good results. I am impressed with the Sharpmaker and will get one if I ever get away from the stones, but I am a creature of habit.

bh49,

Thanks for the tip on Westfarms. I will have to check out the store there. I would love to handle the knives before the purchase, sounds great. Thanks again!

If you like the "homegrown" models, take a look at the Natives while you are at it.

I only have six of them so far, but my goal is one of each version they made of them.

Great knife for a great price. And made right there in Golden, CO.
