Hey guys!
got my first 2 Spydercos this past week, and the PM2 I got has kicked everything else out of my pocket! Also got a Sage 2 but I probably won't carry it so I will probably be getting rid of it.
Here's my question
What's next?
I absolutely love the Paramilitary 2. I am thinking about getting a Southard, but that one will have to wait a little while. I'm not a huge fan of the FRN handles, I am just wondering if how much I love the PM2 would open your thoughts up as to some other models I would love. Thanks!

Hey Steve. Congrats on the pm2. I finally got one last month and I love it. The two knives on my radar right now are the military and the Gayle Bradley. Actually, the GB isn't "on the radar" it's on the way! I think the military would be an obvious idea since its the big brother (or rather the father) of the pm2. You might also look at some of the pm2 sprint runs that were done in various "super steels".

I'm carrying a Southard and a CTS 204P PM2 today. The Southard is a great knife. Some call it a Gentleman's knife...me? not so much. I will say that it is a lot of knife in a relatively small package. I love the bearing set up in it and the flipper is buttery smooth. I carry it more than anything else I have right now...the novelty may wear off, but I doubt it will wear off anytime soon. They are expecting a bunch of them to ship from Spyderco shortly so I'd say check one out at your local dealer and give it a shot for yourself.

Southard, Domino and Bradley.

Southard and Domino are two of the best flippers you'll encounter. Southard a narrower profile and one of the best super-steels in CTS-204P.

Bradley is the uber-cutter about the same size as the PM2 but heavier (5.5 oz. vs. 3.75 oz.) with thick steel liners and CPM M4 non-stainless very tough steel.

I may be giving the Gayle Bradley a shot, I do like the look of it. I do really like the Sage 2 but I just won't carry it. and I have made a vow to no longer keep knives I don't carry unless they are Limited runs etc. Thanks for the info so far guys! While I am thinking about it, this may seem like a dumb question but is there a difference in CPM S30V and just S30V?

Here is an awesome thread on the Gayle Bradley. I read all 13 pages of it last week and had ordered the knife before I got halfway through! ;)

I was going to say the Southard, but how about something completely different like a dragonfly?

You already have the right answer in your post. Sometimes one knife just rises above the rest, and IMO in the Spyderco lineup that's the Southard:

Southard > Domino every day of the week and twice on Sundays. If you don't love the Sage 2, you probably won't love the Domino either--it's basically a slightly bigger Sage with a flipper. The Bradley is a great deal, but it's a lot less pocket-friendly than the Southard. I recommend the Southard, Southard and also Southard ;)

Domino, Manix2, Stretch (especially if you can find the older disco'd CF version), Southard, Sage4, Yojimbo2... Spyderco has a lot to offer.

I really like the Sage 2. It's simple class that rides low in my pocket. When I take it out, I feel proud and confident. I'm not worrying if it's the biggest in the room, its just the best quality. It will handle most any task without offending non knifers. To be fair the Sage 1 is awesome but it looks a bit more out of place in an office or my line of work. If I had no rules a katana and something more military would be nice. Asking a question like this on here gets so many answers as we all have our backgrounds.

A safe bet would be the southard, i dont believe i have seen anyone unhappy with it besides the price and taiwan made. The only spydercoes i have are the southard and para 2. I agree with ram that if you dont like the sage, the blade of the domino wont appeal to you.
