New to Spydercos

I totally agree. I got my first Spyderco last week (Emerson Delica) and it replaced my other more expensive EDCs. I'm now frantically searching for my new grail, the elusive Para 2. I'm a totaly convert. The ergos and value can't be matched! I only stayed away for so long because of the aesthetics.

I dont have a grail yet but I am liking the Caly 3 and the Gayle. Still waiting on my first one (Manix 2) to arrive. Should be here on Wednesday.

If you are looking for a larger knife, and don't want to shell out a whole lot of money, the Resilience might be something worth taking a look. However, I would earnestly suggest saving up and getting a Military--its one of Spyderco's flagship knives for a reason.

I just did a review of the Resilience and compared it to the Military in a thread here:

If you are looking for something closer to the Tenacious in size, then the Paramilitary 2 would be a good choice.

Good lookin knives man I liked this link to the vid i got some stuff to acid wash now.

Welcome to the madness.
Soon you'll own so many that you don't know what to do with all of them and you'll be so in love with Spyderco you'll get the Spyder tattooed on you(yes, I did).

Pretty sure I already got my grail Spyder. Now just to get the Blue Para 2.

I love my Blue Para 2, my most carried knife. I have been working on trimming my wicked edge paddles down so I can get the entire edge mirror polished, having the last little bit not match is driving me mad. So which one was your grail?

Got my 1st PM2 this morning. Seems like a Great knife. I'm sure it's going to get lots of pocket time.

Knifephan, why do you have to trim the paddles on the wicked edge? Is it that hard to sharpen with them the way they are?

If you think the Tenacious is good (and it is) just wait until you get into the higher end Spydercos. You're in for a real treat. As long as you don't mind being broke...

*Edit: Looks like you got the PM2! Congrats!
