If yes, you can buy chunks of it from Woodcraft or Rockler - or just cut up a blue plastic 55 gallon drum.

Honestly I can't recall the name. We were just talking about materials I could recess into the inside of the handle scales on the knives I am making (with help from Ryan and John) and then drill the divot into them. I had mentioned a stainless or copper disc but wasn't sure how the weight would effect the balance of the knife and he brought up that synthetic. I'll have to ask him next time I talk to him. I want a 1/2" - 5/8" thick piece to experiment with.
