new to the forum lookin for new knife advice

VTGuy17... that gun is gorgeous, the knife is cool too.

What do you guys think of Boker knives?

Cant go wrong with the SP101, with the boot grips I've got on it it disappears under a t-shirt. It' got a good amount of heft to it to so full power .357's are no problem unlike some of the lighter snubbies. It's seen a lot of use and is scratched up but it's a work horse and still shoots and locks up like new, one of my favorite revolvers for sure.

for fun check out knives of alaska camp knife,i use it on fish/hunt/camp trips,i dont chop with it or baton, although one could,

I like the EESE 4. KaBar is also popular as is the Buck 119. Really it comes down to what you like and feel comfortable with.

You might want to look at Ontario's Ranger Series. Here's a picture of one like I have, and I really like it. It has 5160 carbon steel, 4.5" blade, and is 1/4" thick. There is a Bush Series also with 3/16" thick blade.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I put a number of them on my future (when funds allow) list.

For now I went with my gut and got the Vanguard. I had a fishing pole to return so I basically got this for $15 dollars after that ;). Had some bass pro shops rewards points racked up and needed to use them!

Now that you have a knife and are only $15 down you should order an ESEE Lite Machete - great machete with the handle & finishing done in the US (blade is a Condor from El Salvador).

I dig it! Thanks for showin me that. I will prob have to wait till next friday but I see that in my near future.
