Thanks for the warm welcome. I look forward to expanding my knife knowledge. Much of my knowledge has been aquired by an influence close to me, but I am interested in broadening my perspective in order to increase my appreciation for knives through my own eyes. My collection is meager...I do have a Wade Colter friction folder and I have a Herron Drop-point hunter in stag. I know very little about stock removal. I just like Herron's work. I got the piece I have after he passed away.

Yes, I am fond of Tolkien's work...I was surprised that Orcrist was even available as a username...
