Im new to the site and ive just come across RATS.

Im liking the RC3 RC4 RC5, now I live in Canada so does anyone know any good suppliers that arent a rip off price wise and what price I can expect to pay for each type?

Also Im looking at a knife on the size of the SOG seal pup elite is the RC 4 the nearest size to this?

Thanks

Welcome aboard! Just few days here and i realize that this forum is very helpful and also help me on understanding the quality of knife

Here is the link to the only Canadian supplier of RC-products that I'm aware of. I spoke with the owner by e-mail a couple of times seems like a nice guy.

Obviously the prices are higher than the cheaper on-line stores across the border, but not unreasonably high. Then again you are supporting a Canadian business who has to pay higher operating taxes then its U.S. counterpart so you need to factor this into your ethical/moral consideration and determine if the price difference is fair or not. Personally, I think this guy is on the level! The advantage of ordering in Canada to Canada is that the shipping does not go through customs.

Customs is always a crap shoot as to whether or not they will charge you taxes and handling charges but also more importantly in how long they decide to hold onto your package. I've had customs hold onto some purchases for 2 weeks before letting it go. This isn't the shipper's fault, it just depends on the work load of customs at the time your package finds its way to them.

For u.s. suppliers I bought all my knives from Knivesshipfree. They have a very reasonable $5 shipping fee to Canada and they always ship by U.S. Postal service which is the best way to get packages through customs. Never order a knife that is shipped out by UPS because UPS will tack on an automatic $30 brokerage fee even if you order a $1 stick of chewing gum.

RC-4 is a good model in the size range of the seal pup.

Welcome aboard! Just wait, soon you'll be loving and wanting every model just like the rest of us with the sickness.

So I took the plunge and ordered the RC4 and I guess due to the popularity of the knife its on back order for 2-3 weeks.
Its the RC 4 PDT

The 4 is a great way to start! They are very popular. It seems like I am emailing Jeff every other week to resupply!

I am also a canuck and ordered my rc-4 from workwear and was very happy with the price and Paul is a great guy to deal with.
