New to the Swamp - Best way to find a Rat <5.5"

"The parks and wildlife guys kinda turn a blind eye to it."

This doesn't seem abnormal considering that the above exemptions make this perfectly legal.

I will have to check out that HB, do you have a link?

This was the best I could find. I'm sure there are better explanations of it somewhere on the web. Basically, you can carry whatever you want in your vehicle, and are allowed to have otherwise "illegal" weapons in your possession and on your person while engaging in lawful sporting activity.

Now... I am no lawyer, but I would argue that camping is a sporting activity, and that a camp knife, machete, axe is a necessary tool for that activity.

Yikes, that is messy. It seems the A(2) contradicts some of the wording down below. I would sure want more clarification before carrying a pistol in my car without a CCW permit.

I must admit I haven't taken the time to check out that link yet, but it is my understanding of the law that you can now carry a handgun in your vehicle so long as:

A. it is concealed
B. You are not commiting a crime
C. you are not a known gang member
D. Can legally own a firearm.

This is just my general understanding, and I have no source to verify this at the present. I haven't had need to reseach the matter as I have a CCW permit.

ETA: OK, I just read it, and my list above is right.

I think what is confusing is the way the law is written. Go figure, a bunch of attorneys turned politician wrote someting that is hard for us to understand. UMPOSSIBLE!

This truly is a good law though.
