Hey there! I am new to the world of knives however, my boyfriend is not. His collection is expanding fairly quickly and I'd like to find a knife to compliment it. He uses all of his knives for different needs, so he isn't the type of person to purchase one and allow it to sit on a shelf. I have learned that he is a fan of custom knives but not opposed to semi-production knives.
**I am in search of a PM2 S110(or 35)v**
PLEASE HELP! I would greatly appreciate some advice, tips and assistance from knowledgeable individuals on this forum.. His birthday is in the early part of February and the purpose of this post is to find an amazing knife for an amazing person..

You should be able to find an S35VN by a simple search. I usually get my blades thru cuttleryshoppe.com but they're a little high on the 35VN. The S110V is a newer production knife so they will be available but currently most online shops are sold out. I'm anxiously waiting to find one.

The exchange here on Blade Forums is a great place to buy. I've sold and bought many and have had no problems. I'd go for the blue purple S110V. There are several online dealers that are great to buy from and will ensure you get a legit knife. The PM2 is one of the most knocked off knives out there. GPKNIVES.Com, bladehq.Com, knifecenter.Com, knifeworks.Com are a few of my favorites to browse for knives. I'm only supposed to post paid advertisers, but I can't find the list. There are a few others, but am not sure I can share them.

Are you set on a PM2? What's your budget?

Thank you blueblur,
I will begin searching the site immediately! It's unfortunate to hear that the S110V is so hard to get a hold of but the gift would be that much better, considering.

Nccole, the list given will keep me busy for sure! Thank you! My budget ceiling is around $300.00 but willing to pay $400.00 for "the one"

If you are thinking about spending that much, I'd skip a PM2. Check out the Slysz Bowie.

He does have a particular want for the PM S110V and after searching the sites/prices, I may have some scales added to it

The s110v PM with some nice wood or micarta scales would be pretty awesome

It's now 2016, so the s110v models should be coming out steady, keep an eye out on with dealers that also belong here on the forum

The S110V models are coming out. You can put in a pre-order at knifeworks.com or one of the others, for the PM2. Another place has the other models listed as pre-order, but the only Royal Blue S110V model released is the PM2, so far. There are some places selling this knife for a lot of money. A guy on bladeforums is asking a new knife price for a used, chipped knife. Wait, be patient, don't get suckered into paying too much.
The Lightweight Manix 2 blue FRCP is available in S110V right now for around $110 to 109, as well.

There's a few that appear to be up on flea bay depending on your tolerance for risk. I think my sister picked one up yesterday from a seller there.

Either way, you're definitely on the right track with the S110V. It's a lucky guy who receives it. Do you have any sisters?

I'll definitely keep an eye out on the dealers from this forum as well as the websites. I am clearly not yet well-versed enough to spot one that isn't authentic so I'll have to stay away from sites that don't deal with only the type of product that I'm looking for. I happened to run into the pre-order option at knifeworks.com and It was painful to walk away but I had to because there is just no way to determine that he will receive it by the beginning of February and proves too risky..

I hadn't the slightest clue that they were so difficult to get my hand hands on. I'll take the advice and be patient a couple of weeks and if no luck then, The gloves are coming off...

You folks have me more excited about this than ever! He's a great guy that works hard and has put up with me for a while so I'd like to reciprocate. Registering here to guide me toward the right gift proved to be beyond helpful! Thank you all for your responses!

Hope you find it Paw_print.I have Always had good service from BladeHQ.com and GPKnives.Going through established companies like the above insures you will get the genuine article.I am not saying that 99.99% of private sales are a risk but there are ,unfortunately shifters out there who can rip off even an experienced knife buyer. Your boyfriend is a lucky guy. Cheers!

Welcome Paw_print, and good luck on your knife purchase.
Little tidbit for you, look up in the posts and you see the name Sal Glesser in red letters? He owns the company Spyderco and he is an active poster on this forum. You wont see many owners stepping in posts like this very often but he does, very awesome!

My brick and mortar has at least 5 PM2 in S110V and last time I was there had the s35v as well. you will have to PM me for the name- per forum rules
