New Toothpicks - Pics!

Congrats! I was really digging on the giraffe bone, and then the burl popped into view, both beauties. They really show the relationship between the toothpick and the Laguiole too.

Stan - very nice toothpicks. I've avoided the pattern myself, maybe I need to take another look at it.

Thanks for all the nice comments and everyone sharing in my enthusiasm. 24 hours later and I am still stoked about these knives!

From what I have absorbed here around the forum, I realize that the toothpick is not a favorite with everyone, and I totally understand that - especially the large 5" versions. It really isn't a very practical EDC with so many other great options available to us. I still can't put my finger on why I am so enamored by these knives. One of the reasons I guess is I've had a very hard time finding knives that work for me with my weak fingers and hands. These large toothpicks fit my hand so well being able to hold it with all 4 fingers, and so far are the easiest for me to open. I have a #12 GEC toothpick also, but find it a bit on the small size to get a confident grip on it.

Very nice!

I too really enjoy toothpicks. Gotta get a full-size one back into my accumulation of sharp stuff.

Thanks for posting.

I only have one wee toothpick, and to be honest I didn't think I was going to like it. But, boy was I wrong. The shape of the thing just feels right. I hope to add a larger one soon, and your new pair have certainly contributed to the urgency of that desire!
