Well after considerable frustration in trying to use my Harbor Freight Bandsaw as both a horizontal and vertical (time consuming in changing the set-up), I finally decided to leave the HF as a cut-off saw and get myself a Porta-Band for profiling and cutting G-10.

Here are a couple of photos of how I have it set up. By doing it this way, I can clamp the base plate to my table top or move it when it is not being used.

I will be adding a switched outlet to the base plate so that I don't have to reach over and unplug it every time I want to turn it on or off.

There is a blade blank that I profiled out in one of the pics. Seems to work great and saves on sanding belts and that nasty pile of steel wool that you generate when profiling on the KMG.

I am a happy camper so far with this set-up............ Robert

I like it. I would suggest a piece of round stock bent to pivot and work the trigger. A simple hook over it for keeping it on.

Thats awesome. I saw Barker had done something similar, and now I'm certainly going to copy y'all!
