Hard to conceal my excitement. This beasty came in today. Good grief it is huge. Way bigger than I thought it would be. Don't let anybody ever tell you 6" isn't enough (you see, its all in the girth) :D:D:D:D:D

Really does feel great in the hand, sharp as heck and awesome F&F as I've come to expect from Rat Cutlery.

Will try to post a review later in the week!

KGD, does it feel like it made better than the Ontario Rats? Not that I had any problem with them at all. Just curious as I haven't handled one yet. I like the grren liners!

Nice! Dude, that handle looks like a great size!!!

I really am liking these. Its making the SERE wait SO hard!

I only handled a Ontario Rat 5 before. Bomb proof knife it was, but fit and finish were not its strong points. All of the RC's I've handled have excellent F&F.

Awesome KGD. I have been wanting one for awhile now, but money's tight.

Great shots bro!

Yep, all of mine where a bit off. Always needed work on scales or the bevel was way off on one side. Still well built knives. Since they where gonna be users it never bothered me much. I'm so glad Jeff and Mike went out on their own. 2 great guys making great knives.

Jake, I'm lusting after the Sere as well. Nice looking knife.

Looks nice, the handle reminds me a bit of the RAT5, though a bit narrower, which is a good thing. I know if I handled one I'd be that much broker.

very nice... love those green liners... i haven't decided if i want the RC-4 or RC-6..:D

So could it be your only knife? it looks like it could handle the delicate cores of a small knife but can it step up and do the heavy work?
I am having a hard time deciding between a single 7,1/2 inch bladed knife or a Big chopper like my SH-E and a small companion knife like a Mikro Canadian?

In all truthfulness unsub, if I were to go for one knife than it would be a 4-5" variety like the RC-4 or Breeden pathfinder. The RC-6 is a great camp knife that is comfortable enough to go on my belt while hanging around base camp. It would probably go on my pack while trucking my stuff into camp with a smaller, thinner knife like my Breeden or RC-3 on my belt.

+1

Please tell us.

This one was generously supplied from Rat Cutlery as a contest prize. I have another one that was ordered from Knives ship for free. It was just shipped out last week. The item was on back-order since April, but Rat Cutlery is now trickling the RC-6 out in small batches.
