BRKT seems to be cranking a bunch of designs of late. I really like their new EDC Seax and the Imp - really nice designs.

The manitou has a really nice blade profile with the traditional handle/pommel. I think it is a good combo. I'm a little more partial to the ones with the single (bottom) guard, but since you are using yours for military the double guard is probably more suitable for you.
