I now have around $55 and was hoping to buy a new knife. I like the new GEC Redneck, but am also looking to buy a Colonel Coon Congress by Queen. I like the congress pattern, but am looking for a knife that is in my price range; has a nice wharncliff or sheepsfoot; it can have spey blades, but I really don't like them; and I like having high carbon steel so I can develop a patina. Any ideas are appreciated.

Why not look out for a CASE 63032 Medium Stockman in cv and their wonderful Chestnut Bone? It has a Pen blade rather than Spey and is one of my most carried CASE knives. You could snag one online for around your price. Mine cost less a couple of years back including International Shipping. It's a very decent knife and handy. Consider also Böker Germany carbon bladed Whittler, smaller than the CASE and with 3 different blades: Clip, Cope, Pen. Very good finish too and within that price range. Good luck!

Thanks, Will
