I may be goin' to hell in a bucket, Babe, but at least I'm enjoyin' the ride.

Hello,

I think thats because the Carrier liquid for the Lubricant is mineral Spirits.

or so they say thats what to use to Re charge the cloth if it dries out.

thanks ,

Allen,

Question on the mineral spirits. Does kerosene or thinner count?

I went to a couple of hardware stores, and nobody there knows "mineral spirits".. aghh...

Dan

dannyc,
I can't believe that! Maybe you should try a drug store or something. I remember having a bottle of mineral spirits around the house when I was younger, it's kind of an oily substance. Hope this helps. You might try contacting Sentry Solutions if you can't find mineral spirits.

Dan, if you read the contents of most paint thinners, it is 100% mineral spirits.

hello,

I am reading the TUFF-Cloth package right now and it says and i quote " If cloth Dries out, add Tuf-Glide(tm) or Mineral spirits(not turpentine) to restore to original "feel" ". End quote.

so im not sure if paint thinner might have other ingredients in it other than Straight
mineral spirits or not. i think i have seen mineral spirits in the Drug pharmacy dept.

Anyway thats what SENTRY SOLUTIONS package say`s.

Hope that helped,
Allen Blade

I have purchased Mineral Spirits at both Target and Wal Mart (in the paint section). I believe that the drug stores sell Mineral oil, not what you want for this.

BTW, mineral spirits make an excellent gun cleaner as long as you apply a thin coat of lubricant when your finished cleaning. A lot cheaper than "gun cleaner".

Any paint store should have mineral spirits, but it's often labeled "odorless turpentine substitute." That must be what's causing the confusion ... clerks don't read the fine print on the label.
