Just got the 220v line run yesterday and got a tracking # saying it will be here tomorrow.

Haven't put up a belt rack yet for the 2X72s with all the projects going in the rearrangement of the garage.

Need to get small wheels and which of the bunch of sizes available, is the most useful?

depends on what style knives u make and what curves you require.
I have 3 small wheels, I think they are 1/4" steel (no rubber). 5/8" and 3/4"
I would like a 1"

If getting two - 1/2" and 1". If three - 1/2", 3/4", 1".

A tip on setting up the belt rack:
Get a section of 4" or 6" PVC pipe. Cut it into 4" lengths. Screw a short piece of 2X4 across one inside end with two screws from each side (drill pilot holes).
Screw the piece to the wall with a screw through the center of the 2X4. This will make the belts hang and store better than pegs or wire hooks.
If you have a pegboard wall, screw all the PVC belt holders to a single long 1X6 board and hang/screw the board to the wall. Mark the grit on the wood inside each piece. This alone is worth building the rack, as turning belts around to see what grit they are is annoying.

If you have 2' of extra pipe left over, use it to make a nice etching tank with a cap and a closed/plugged end flange.

Now, if you want to go full pro on this rack, use 8" or 10" PVC pipe. Make the hangers about 8-10" long. They will hold a bunch of belts on the outside, and rolls of new belts can be stored inside them.

Gotta have a 2 inch. Poably the most useful one in my kit, especially for handles. I have 2, 1 and 3/4 small wheels. I use the 2 the most and the big 4 inch "regular" wheel even more. I have been using the rounded end of my platens for tight stuff like ricasso transitions of late, but I think I would like a 1/2 and one of the steel 1/4 wheels in the future.

I agree, a full set of wheel would be 1/2", 3/4", 1", 2", 3" 6", 8", 12" .... the 12" is optional, but nice, as is a 16".

Thanks. I like the PVC rack idea Stacy. That is in the list for Home Depot run. Sitting around today waiting on the truck.

Did not notice 1/4 steel ones but will look again at KG supplies and others.

So a 1/2, 3/4, 1 and 2 are going to be had first. Many times I am repairing knives so getting to places to grind away rust is key.
