i just got my umnum today.....I have more knives than i can count....i own lots of sebi's and have owned many....im not easily impressed these days.

I am very impressed with this new reeve.....in my opinion the sebenza is not in the same league with the new umnum.

get one if you can guys !!
 
This is not good news, I was thinking of passing on my preordered one. Looks like I need to at least try one. :cool:

Well, if they made a small version, I'd be there in a heart-beat. But, until then, it's not even on my radar. Glad you like yours, though:thumbup:
 
I love mine too, it is a fine knife and extremely easy to open and close with one hand. Nevertheless, for some reason I still carry my small classic Sebenza the most, found myself using it a dozen times today. I am not sure whether it is habit, a desire to keep the Umnum pristine, or size. I think the size is the main issue, that and familiarity and a close bond with the Seb.

In any case though, everyone needs one of each...

Im getting very impatient waiting for mine.. especially when other places have them in stock now.:grumpy:
 
Who specifically has them in stock? Every place I've checked lists them as a backorder item. Thanks.
 
I agree. I favor the 'Zaan over both small and large Sebbies. And it is primarily because of its larger size that I do :) .
 
Mark, I respect your opinion greatly on knives (I never should have sold that Skirmish, you were right). Now I need an Umnum.

I agree 100%! I just picked one up and it's the most excited I've been about a knife in years. :thumbup:
 
i agree the umnum isnt even in the same class. The sebenza is nice but that was then this is now. The two are just worlds away.

I'm in the boat of "wish they made it in a small". Can't stand a large knife these days.

Also, how are the ergonomics compared to the classic/regular?
 
Yeah, I wish that they made a small Umnumzaan! I would one in a heart beat.
 
I was suprised how large these were...for some reason they feel much larger than the large sebbie...
 
Great. I was set on getting a large Sebenza. Now I'm seriously thinking of buying one of these and getting a Sebenza later.
