Opening it slowly as I was it is silent ... opened with a bit more authority it makes a slight noise ... and found out without the O Rings it has the same solid vault type lockup sound like any other CRK.
I still love the knife it feels just a bit better than any other CRK I have ... and I think after figuring out it was the O Rings causing the issue ... that they will break in and I'll hear and feel that lockup we all get used to.

Also I don't have the o-rings from CRK anymore, those fell off years ago. Bought a pack from home depot that seem to last longer but maybe they aren't as thick as the originals so mine makes more sound?
