I finally managed to restructure some parts of my list (must be that I have 6 weeks free from MBA :D )
It still looks the same, but it is now on another server, and somewhat better structured which makes it easier for me to update.

Please change your bookmarks to: http://www.spydie.nl

I've updated it also with several new models (Saver Salt, Aqua Salt) and also updated the Actual Size and Resized lists. Some models had been missing from those for a long time.

So, enjoy again, and let me know if anything is missing.

I replace all HTML's and JPG's on the old site with a notification, so everybody should be able to find the new site.

Thanks Ted. Can't thank you enough. Your site is a great help and a valuable tool for us Spyderco fans. Outstanding job. If you charged browsers for bandwidth, I'd owe you a nice chunk of change. Between yours, Mr. Blondes and the Deacons, I'd be broke. :D

Thanks Ted, fixed my bookmarks, and the links to your site from mine. And thanks X 100 for the invaluable service you're providing to the Spyderco community.

Ted

Thanks for allowing us access to a great site and resource for Spyderco collectors.

I have just become the proud owner of Collector number 118 :D

I have a very small collection of Spydies at the moment but decided to join the collectors program largely because I love collecting Spydies and plan to get lots more now. The large majority of people who post to this forum are first class and I enjoy the information that is offered so generously.

Thanks, Ted. I find myself going back to your list on many occasions to check on various models.

Ted,

I think that you have the wrong name for C13. It's labeled as a Pro Grip, but
I believe that it's actually a Pro Venator.

C33 is the Pro Grip, and it is correctly labeled as such.

Thought you'd want to know.

Hi Jag-engr, actually, there is more to it. Sometime ago I wrote some history on the C03/C13/C33.

C03/C13/C33 aka Hunter/Pro-Hunter/Ironstone Hunter/Pro-Venator/Pro-Grip

The first C03 was named the 'Hunter' which had a light drop-point blade shape, but actually. it's more of a spear-point with very little belly.

c03_thumb.jpg

The C13 was a new version of this with more 'belly', krayton inserts and rubber inserts in the clip. The C13 was first named the Pro-Hunter, but that name was already taken by another company, then it was renamed to Pro-Venator, but since nobody could pronounce that properly or knew what it meant, it was renamed again to Pro-Grip in 1999 or so. Funny thing that in the 1999 catalog it is named 'Pro-Grip' but the text refers to 'Pro-Venator'. Before that, the C33 was already called the Pro-Grip.

After the C13 was released, a new version of the C03 was made with the blade of the C13, but with a normal clip and no krayton, but only in CE. Sometimes this one is called the Ironstone Hunter, because it was first marketed by Ironstone (the former Spyderco Factory Outlet), but it has never been an exclusive for Ironstone.

As mentioned earlier, the C33 is the lightweight version of the C13, in FRN with krayton and molded clip. This version has also been marketed as the C13PBK and C13PSBK
