New USA Made Camillus Line

I wonder what he meant by directly throwing sparks off the bushcraft knife. I guess he means by hitting it with a rock like on a forged firesteel.

Shamefully ugly knives, those tactical ones. The buffalo horn/damast is like makeup on a pig.

Yeah I actually made an audible groan when they showed that horn handled knife. It was like lets see how much s$%^ we can throw at this one and make it sell.

ok they have my attention. that bushy knife does look interesting. I thought tac tantos were out of style these days.

I love my Bushcrafter. Well made, solid knife. 1095 is a bit more maintenance than others but it's a nice blade.

This is definitely good news. Happy to hear this. This is one step forward. I'm not so much concerned with the blade designs as I am the fact they they employed 14 people and are making these knives in the States. Judging by the video, these are 14 people who care about their quality of work.

Even Gerber has made three new knives this year out of Portland, Oregon USA.

One step forward. Yes, but the road is long.

The last one looks really sharp but I wonder what the price tag will be on it

Mine says "USA" on the blade and the box says Made in the USA!, so I'm assuming that at least the Bushcrafter is still USA-made.

I bought a Camillus Barbarian a few months ago since I didn't own any small fixed blades suitable for "outdoorsy" tasks. It comes with a pretty nice Kydex sheath and a Tek-Lok that allows for (among other things) convenient carry on a backpack strap. I took it along on a hiking trip but never had need of a knife that time around, so at this point I can't comment beyond that.

Very interesting, I wonder why we never hear of this line on the forums?
I Like the look of the bushcrafter and it is still available online for around $75.
Any more recent guesses as to where these are made and why they don't have more models available by now?

The original Camillus folded primarely due to the greed of the owners and union bosses !! That from AGRussell

But the original camillus has been gone far longer than 2 years.

Aside from the second part of that statement ("union bosses" being at fault) not necessarily being true, what does it have to do with whether "Camillus" is still making knives?

Did he say that the leather sheath was "waterjetted beautiful leather case"? The last 20 seconds of the video.

Some people will complain about anything

They're not my cup of tea (except for the bushcrafter, that looks pretty sweet actually), but I don't see a downside to a few more people earning a paycheck and more American-made knives being available. Of course it would be nice if they just came out and said exactly where/by whom they're made...

As for the guy in the video and some of the confusing things he said... who knows. He's probably just some goof with a marketing degree. I don't pay much attention to those types.
