New versus old

Thanks, knarfeng. The general description of "hard and brittle" confirms my experience...especially the "brittle" part.
 
Another one of those Bulldog Teardrops made in 2005 with the fighting dog tang stamps. I just don't know IF they're cell or acrylic and don't actually know how to tell. To be on the safe side, I keep them sectioned...:D
 
That's what I think but I have heard some people say that they are Cell, but then, some people claim RR acrylic is cell too. Only one way to find out, give it the flame test:D:eek::eek:
 
if carried with other pocket items the finish would glaze or become milky

I bet that a quick application of Mother's Mag Wheel polish would restore the shine. It brings the "cellidor" scales of Swiss Army Knives back to a new appearance pretty easily. Mother's seems to be pretty much the same as Flitz, but at maybe 1/30th the cost.
