Just received my Tanto and Clip point plain edged Voyagers (Large size)
1) Both came in in the New boxes with the Grand Prairie address (not Ventura). Also both boxes and the knives themselves have the New CS logo. I was a bit disappointed about that (but definitely not a deal breaker). But both boxes had a pic of the specific model on it. So I’m guessing the New (Old) stock with Ventura boxes and original box/blade logos are already being depleted

2) The Good: Craftmanship appeared to be very good. Both blades centered and most importantly (to me at least), the Triad-Lock unlocks very smoothly:)

Out the door price was just over $80. I used up some credit I had with the seller. So in the end each knife was a hair over $40. I never picked up the original Mini Recon 1’s when I had the chance…so thought I’d get these Voyagers. I can see why it is one of CS’s iconic models…very nice and meant to be put to hard use.

Very nice, would love to see pics if you have some.
I will try, I’m not a “techie” person at all, LOL!…but will do my best to get them up. So my conclusion is that they’re still coming out of the same factory, just slapping a new logo on them. Forgot to mention, the stonewashed finish is very nice. I typically don’t like stonewash, especially the really “gritty” appearing ones…but this finish is really smooth and subtle.

Okay, no worries!

And they both came with an extra pocket clip in a tiny zip-lock…I remember some members mentioned they didn’t get one.
Thanks for that info-so then it seems that the only new/GSM model that does NOT come with a lefty clip, that is not ambidextrous (pocket clip is not reversible), would be the new Talwar. The Espadas with aluminum (fancy ones) to my knowledge never included the lefty clip and still don’t.
The Recon 1 that I got with the new logo also included the lefty clip.
Based on what I gather, I don’t think they actively discontinued the lefty clips. The Talwar was brought back from the dead and they just didn’t make them I guess. Anyway as mentioned a few times the Voyager pocket clips are interchangeable with the Talwar. Good to know. Thank you

The problem with the pre GSM ones is that I can´t think of them as users anymore.

I second that. I know the post GSM logo versions are the exact same thing from the exact same factories, but not seeing the original Lynn Thompson era logo on them makes me look at them differently. However, some of my pre-GSM logo Cold Steel knives have been in service for a while and I will continue to carry and use them as if nothing's changed.

My 3rd Voyager came in a couple of days ago (Drop Point/Large size). It is a Pre-GSM model. The only obvious difference is that the stonewashed finish has a more grainy/darker appearance…and of course no new logo. I actually like the stonewash finish better on the GSM Voyagers…smoother/lighter looking. But that’s just my personal opinion. Yeah, I would have preferred my other 2 had been Pre-GSM. I went ahead and purchased them since I have no idea what is in store for the future….if these models will even be available, etc.

Very few of my "Old Steel" knives are now safe queens. Most aren't. Life is short and it's a pleasure to use knives from the LT Era.

But the (again, few) "Sold Steel" models I have are the obvious candidates to be abused. Including the Voyager XL Tanto (plain) I "don't need" and hopefully won't buy.

I am probably confused but wasn´t the Drop Point Voyager a GSM model ?
